Chang-hoon Kwon [28]

Interessanter Artikel über den noch anstehen Militärdienst bei den in der Bundesliga tätigen Südkoreanern.
Das hatte ich gar nicht mehr auf dem Schirm, betrifft uns ja mit Kwon ganz aktuell.

Quarantäne ist nach dem zweiten negativen Test nun erst einmal bis zum 25. November verordnet.

Ach klar, "negativ" für den Spieler.

Many people have been saying that the season he's poor, and i fully agree.

But what's the reason for this? A lot of excuses and false problems, but after watching the highlights of his meaningful perfomances last season and i think i have.

Those highlights are very good beacuse it's not Just ball touch but also It covers the action until the ball goes out.

Well in short, the difference is having Abrashi or Koch in midfield. In fact, when Abrashi and Kwon played togheter from the starting XI, Freiburg never conceded a single goal and managed to score 3. 2 against Mainz, 1 against Hoffenheim (3 starts overall)

Now to the single highlights:

Vs Bayern: Kwon comes on for Frantz, he's involved in the equalizing goal and allowed to push Bayern of all team back in their own half. Koch played in CM in a 4-4-2 until he was off.

Vs Schalke: kwon comes on for Haberer and he has a hands in everything Freiburg creates Koch in midfield once again allows Kwon and Freiburg to push forward.

Vs Mainz: Kwon starts and scores playing as a winger in a 3-4-3. Was involved in so many actions and could even score one more. Abrashi is playing CM.

Vs Paderborn: Kwon in the first half creates two chances that could have gone in. Abrashi comes off and Freiburg concedes, soon after that Koch goes to midfield and Kwon have a chance to equalize but his right foot shot was off target.

Vs Koln: Höfler and Haberer start in the CM, Kwon and Freiburg are totally dominated by the home side, even tho Kwon have a chance to equalize Just before the halftime. After the 2-0 Koch goes to play in midfield and Freiburg looks for a goal, instead, Koln scores two goal in the stoppage and it's a heavy 4-0 loss.

Vs Hoffenheim: Abrashi Is in the starting XI as CM. Kwon takes part in some of the chances and Abrashi help the korean on the defensive work. Freiburg gets the 3 points.

Vs Fortuna: No Abrashi in the starting XI and Freiburg concede in the first half. Kwon Is off at halftime with an Injury.

Vs Werder: Kwon comes very close to equalize and Is lively. Koch Is playing CM during that time.

Vs Wolfsburg: Kwon with a good perfomance is involved in everything Freiburg creates.

It's almost as if with Abrashi or Koch in midfield Kwon feels more free to do whatever he wants. The fact he doesnt offer too much physicality Is not really a problem when you look at things more carefully. It's football and it's played in 11.

Kwon never looked half as good this season and that's the reason why.

Stellt zwar ein Gerücht dar, allerdings erst für den kommenden Sommer. Deshalb schreibe ich das mal direkt in sein Spieler-Forum:

Laut news im Meldungs-Thread geht es eher um den Militärdienst als um Stagnation. Den muss er ableisten, wenn man da nicht drumrum kommt geht's nach Südkorea (da dann vermutlich zum Militär-Verein), ansonsten verlängert sich sein Vertrag bis 2023.

Dass er mit seiner Rolle hier nicht glücklich ist, ist sicherlich auch klar - durch die Verletzung kam er einfach nicht rein und links Grifo sowie rechts Sallai sind halt doch klar vorne. Ich kann mir bei ihm allerdings schon vorstellen, dass er in Topform ein Upgrade wäre, nur hat er das bislang noch nicht gezeigt.

Danke, das würde die Sache auch erklären. Bin nur etwas stutzig geworden, weil der SC den Vertrag nicht verlängert. Aber das wird dann genau aus dem Grund des Wehrdienstes sein. Persönlich bin ich echt ein Fan von ihm geworden. Ich mag seine Spielweise und das er oft gute Entscheidungen trifft die uns Offensiv etwas schwerer zu durchschauen machen.
Ich hoffe, dass das mit seinem Heimatverein eine Ente ist.
Wäre schön wenn er dann wieder in den Breisgau kommt.

Kwon hat eigentlich in Dijon viele seiner besten Spiele as HS gespielt. Wieso bringt man ihn nicht mal statt Höler, zusammen mit Grifo und Sallai?

Zur Militär-/Vertragssituation: das war leider unausweichlich, als feststand, dass die Olympischen Spiele verlegt wurden. Dort hätte Korea zwar auch keine 100 prozentige Chance auf eine Medallie gehabt, aber man hätte ihm eine Teilnahme sicher erlaubt. Ich hoffe aber, dass er bis zum Vertragsende alles gibt und sich wieder in die Mannschaft hineinspielen kann.

Kwon wird uns also verlassen. Schade, hatte mir viel von ihm versprochen, leider durch Verletzungen doch sehr ausgebremst.

Was mich bei dem Transfer wundert: Hatte man das von SCF Seite mit dem Militärdienst nicht auf dem Schirm? Ein 2-Jahresvertrag ist doch eigentlich selten. Oder hat Kwon noch länger Vertrag (was ich glaube)? Dann müsste ja jetzt eine Ablöse fließen.

Wenn ich das mit dem Militärdienst richtig verstehe muss Kwon erst ein paar Monate in Korea aktiv sein um dann zum Militärvererein (per Leihe) wechseln zu können. Richtig?
