Liverpool scouts were in the stands as Villarreal lost 1-2 to Sevilla on Saturday. Although Villarreal midfielder Bruno Soriano has been drawing clubs to the Estadio El Madrigal this season, Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic is understood to be among Liverpool's targets.
The Croatia international has long been a target for English clubs, notably Everton, Tottenham and West Browmich Albion, and his goalscoring exploits keep attracting the scouts.
He has scored seven in 20 games this season and that has helped propel Sevilla to seventh.
However, despite selling Jesus Navas, Alvaro Negredo and Guy Medel, their financial troubles continue and, while they will point to a buyout clause of £33m for Rakitic, it is understood a bid of around £7m could prove difficult to reject.
Liverpool's main priority, however, remains a new left-back and a striker, unless they sell in other positions such as right-back and centre-back.

Frage der Zeit bis Ivan Sevilla verlässt. Er spielt seinen besten Fußball seiner bisherigen Karriere (leider "nur" in Sevilla, in der Nationalmannschaft spielt er nicht so überragend).
8 Mio sind wohl nicht genug für Sevilla, desen Präsident vor kurzem Festgenommen wurde, wenn ich mich nicht irre.
In Kroatien werden auch mehrere Interessanten spekuliert, ausser Liverpool wurden noch United, PSG und Arsenal erwähnt.
Ich glaube kaum das er vor der WM wechselt, aber im Sommer definitiv bei seinem Vertrag bis 2015. Da kriegt Sevilla auch die 12-15Mio.

Totaler Quatsch der Artikel, Castro hat letzte Woche noch deutlich gemacht, dass Ivan nur geht, wenn die AK von 40 Mio gezahlt wird.
Und es wird weiter fieberhaft daran gearbeitet, dass er verlängert mit entsprechender AK.
