Odisha FC confirm Stuart Baxter as head coach - Sign two year deal
Odisha FC have appointment Stuart Baxter as Josep Gombau’s successor, TMIndia can confirm. The official announcement is expected soon. The Bhubaneswar based side and the 66-year-old have signed a contract that will remain valid till the end of the 2021-22 season.
TransferMarkt, via Superpower Football, had published on May 21 about Odisha FC’s interest in the former England U-19 and South Africa manager.
UPDATE: Odisha FC have officially announced that Stuart Baxter has been signed as head coach for two years.
While welcoming Baxter, Dr. Anil Sharma, Founder & CEO, GMS, the parent company of Odisha FC said, "We conducted an extensive global search for a coach that matched our vision for the next phase of OFC. "
"We are excited that Stuart is both motivated and experienced to create a championship club, develop our Indian starlets into national team players, & strengthen our youth academy, in order to have a consistent inflow of talent into OFC," Dr. Sharma added.

Stuart Baxter, 66 is an experience hand having worked as a coach for 35 years now. The Scott has extensively worked in Europe, Africa and Asia. His stint as England U-19 coach between 2002-2004 has been the hallmark of his career along with two stints with the South African national team.
