Major League Soccer side CF Montréal are in danger of losing head coach Thierry Henry. English outlets Sky and the Mirror reported on Wednesday that Henry has been in contact with AFC Bournemouth. The Championship side sacked manager Jason Tindall two weeks ago and have since been linked with a number of managers including Patrick Vieira, John Terry, and David Wagner

Update Feb.19: According to a report by the BBC reporter Kris Temple, Bournemouth have now approached CF Montréal, requesting permission to speak to Henry. The Championship side will now await Montréal's response.

Sky were the first to report the news on Wednesday, writing that Henry has emerged as a "shock contender" to take over Bournemouth. The Mirror has taken it one step further, reporting that a deal to bring the 43-year-old from Canada to the United Kingdom is all but done.

It would be a quick departure from MLS for Henry. The former Arsenal legend joined the MLS side in Nov. 2019 and in 29 games in charge managed points per match average of 1.07. Before heading to MLS, Henry was an assistant coach to Roberto Martinez's Belgium side and the head coach of Monaco where he was fired after just 20 games in charge.
