O extremo argentino, de 26 anos, tem em mãos uma proposta para rumar à Major League Soccer e seguir a carreira nos Estados Unidos, ao serviço do New York City FC. O negócio poderá render pelo menos 8 milhões de euros, sendo possível que atinja os 10 M€ em relação a um futebolista que os encarnados contrataram por 5,6 milhões de euros (90 por cento do passe) ao Rosario Central, em setembro de 2015. Os prazos de pagamento são por esta altura um entrave que está a ser discutido entre os dois clubes.
